FIX - Achievement Points and PvP Ranking
You post confuses me, most people have the same idea as you when it comes to rank/ achievement points. So why do they need to change something that has no baring on the way you play the game?
So what you’re saying is that somebody who plays the game more than you shouldn’t have more achievement points than you? That doesn’t make any sense. I’ve heard this from so many people.
I personally like the daily/monthly achievements. In fact, not having them doesn’t make any sense.
What if 50 players all completely EVERY achievement in the game. They would all have the same score and the leaderboard would look ridiculous.
Are you also going to request that they take away the achievement points we got for holiday events or the Living Story, because not every player is going to have access to those points?
Also…
and for those with jobs and obligations who can only spend one or two hours, every other day.
Hi! That’s me!
I do my dailies in somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes every day. If I do the PvP ones, that takes another 15-30 minutes. Sometimes that is the only time I spend playing GW during a day (sometimes for a week straight). Even on my days off, I’m often busy doing other things and only log in for the 30-60 minutes to do my dailies.
If you’re not committed to getting achievements, then you’re not committed to getting achievements. Sorry. If I knew you 6 months ago, I would have told you how easy dailies were and suggested that you did them from the beginning.

Rakuren, do you think its fair that someone who did not buy the game at launch can NEVER catch up with you, as long as you keep doing dailies every day? Because that is what you are saying. He should have bought the game at release and grinded dailies every single day, and not taken even one day off from GW. This is ridiculous. I am not a farm-bot, as I imagine many others are not. There are times when you want a few days or even weeks off from guild wars. There are holidays when you want to go to a nice warm country and spend time at the beach, away from the internet. Does that mean you should be eternally punished with never being able to compete with the people who have time to do dailys every day?

Here is a little note worthy advice most people only do 5 dailies now. when there is 9 to do. They only give 1 point a piece, I would say probably 95% of the people have not done 50% of the achievements. Fact of the matter is, those who have been playing longer in the start will have more achievement points then those that start tomorrow. But in the long run someone that starts tomorrow can in time achieve more points if they are dedicated enough, it wont happen over night and will probably take quite sometime but it is possible.
Do you think it is fair that you made a choice to go on vacation and still be ranked up there with someone that doesn’t?
If your time on the game is only a few hours a week then leader boards mean nothing to you, the leader boards are designed for the more avid player not casual.
Prefect example I cam into MW3 5 months late, the leader boards were packs with people that had been playing far longer than me, and through the different achievements you could unlock and the monthly rewards it seemed I stood no chance. Although about 7 months into the game I was sitting in the top 60 players. It can be done
