"Fear me!":revised.
PvP & WvW roaming
Thief and their venoms want to say hi.
What does that have to do with warrior shouts? By all means, suggest different effects to thief venoms.

So if I have a choice between:
- 8s Stability with 8s Swiftness, 40s cooldown
- 8s Stability, 180 toughness passive, 48s cooldown
- 5s stability, 1-2s fear, 40s cooldown
Why would I pick anything but the last one for my stability? Especially since after October 15th, it will cost me a small fee of 10 points into Tactics to reduce the cooldown to 32s?
I get that you’re attempting to add Stability to a Shout-build warrior, while trying to make Fear Me! more appealing, but I think that your perspective is a bit misleading. The moment you add more than a moment of Stability, you have to compare it to the other stability utilities. Similarly, since it’s a shout, you have to look at the full potential, and that is:
- 5s Stability
- 1-2s Fear
- Heals 1,490 (0.9 coefficient)
- Removes 1 condition
- 40s cooldown
Looking at that list, the Fear condition isn’t the main star. Clearly the big thing there is the Stability and the heal. Changing a skill so much that its main appeal is the new addition and trait-related bonuses isn’t a good way to go about it.
And honestly, considering that Fear Me is an AoE fear, I am not sure that the cooldown is too steep.
Slightly off-topic maybe but would any other warrior welcome a trait/skill that ‘reversed’ all fear skills and turned them into a pull? ‘Come To Me’ is a horrible name but you get the idea- mobs walk to you and stop when they reach you/are dazed until the duration of the skill finishes.
Retired and living in a shack. Relaxing!
