I’m going to start with a little background information. My main is an 80 Female Asura Mesmer. She is the first character that I’ve made. I knew I always wanted to be an asura. I love the personal story. I love the feel of being a little genius. The quircky-ness of the character is what brought me to make an asuran.

The one thing that I noticed throughout leveling is that there were some pretty amazing looking Light armor models that I saw on Humans, Norn, and Sylvari (I’m biased towards Light armor because my main is a Mesmer). However, when I aquired them on my Asura, they looked completly different than what I saw on the other female characters.

I am not a computer game designer in any way, shape or form, so I don’t know if it may be difficult to have such elaborate armor on such a small frame. But howcome the Female Asura and the Male Asura armor models are identical? I was blown away by the amazing ballgown of the “Masquerade” Light armor set ingame. When I got it for my character, it looked like a pant-suit of sorts.

I know some people are saying things like that the Asura are gender neutral in their armor apperace. That’s fine, nothing wrong with gender neutrality. The issue lies, for me, in a pure aesthetic point. When I decided to make a Female Asura, I was expecting that we would get miniature robes or gowns. That the Female Asura wouldn’t have giant breasts like the humans or norns, but that even the cut-out could appear on the armor (Sylvari are relativly flat-chested, and the armor looks fine on them). Could the Female Asura armor be changed in a way that either gives us a similar appearance to the Humans/Norn/Sylvari (I assume the Female Charr falls within the Female Asura, so bring her along for the ride aswell).

I attached some pictures to show examples of the armor differences for the Female Asura. If the Asura are so gender neutral (and in some of the armor, her chest is revealed), howcome in the underwear model of the asura she has a one-piece bathing suit-type of garment on?

Sorry for the long post, but TL;DR: I rolled a Female Asura to look somewhat Female, not to have the voice of a Female and the body/appearance of a male.

In fact this is a really good suggestion, perhaps this was overlooked some how, and i wonder why they dont look similar and i hope this get fixed or at least give the option to asuran toons to have any of them…

i mean, i dont want to drag this thread to another kind of skimpy armor thread ( i do love skimpy armor btw) but female asuran should be able to look a bit more femenine.

btw wich light armor set are the first and second pictures Scarlet?

I know that the first one is the “Masquerade” set (found/tailor made).
The second one, however, I’m not 100% sure about. I know it’s the “PvP Champion” Light armor set in the PvP Locker in the mists. I think it’s probably tailor made aswell. But as I said, not 100% sure on that.
