Hi everyone

I really enjoyed the halloween festival. The decoration in LA was beautiful!
But this left me thinking…

We have 5 other major cities! And they’re empty!
You’ve put so much time in creating these beautiful cities, but you don’t use them…
No one uses them… everything happens in LA.

So here’s my suggestion:
Make some special events and let them happen in 1 of the other main cities.
Don’t let everything happen in LA! Use one of the other main cities and give people a reason to go there…

Examples:
Birthday of the Pale Tree @ The Grove
Celebrate the birth of the pale tree…

Owl Festival @ Hoelbrak
In memory of the Owl Spirit…

Divinity’s Reach Prom @ Divinity’s Reach
A prom festival in divinty’s reach

……

Don’t just throw away those cities never to be used for something cool…

Yes, it would be really nice to see some in-game holydays. Not just ones inspired by real world events.
We have a rich and colourfull lore in GW2 world, so why not use it. And other cities need some love too.

I definately agree with this! Beautiful cities that are empty of life. I love going to all the cities and the newbie zones to get xp and look around. So.. have some cool events in each of them to keep me hanging around them.

Yep all those empty cities just reminds me of WoW. For those who remember think back to when everybody and his dog lived in Dalaran, or after Cataclysm when it was Stormwind.
Many MMO companies seem to forget that their players choose races because they love/like that race. They dont want then to be forced into spending all there time in another city just because Anet are too lazy to introduce all the good stuff into each city !

In LA there is:

• The Mystic Forge!
• The Portals to all other cities.
• Three, easilly repeatable jumping puzzles.
• Good location at the center of Tyria to get same distance (and WP fees) to all areas.
• All unique events and celebrations take place here.
• It’s also the clossest place to the end level area Orr.
• The portal for the upcoming “Lost Shore” will also be here…
  Also there is no communication with the other cities unless you travel there and wait through the loading screen.

Anet is overfocusingo on LA, causing all other areas to become ghost towns!

I tottaly agree that at least such events should occurr in every other city other than LA!...

don’t think they are not going to do it. the only events so far that we know are halloween and wintersday, both of which are typically human festivals (which is why most of halloween took place in krytan areas). they promised a lot of different holidays beyond the human festivals we know from the first game.

lion’s arch is the city where all races live together, and like you said, it sits in the center of Tyria. it’s a rich merchant city with access to the sea.

Lion’s Arch is the equivalent of medieval/renaissance Italy. of course it would be the center of the attention.

I can’t help but believe the kinda shoot them selfs in the foot here…
They designed all those amazing cities for people to meet each other and party up, but they made only one of them matter!

I het a weak rig and I get so much lag in LA that each player appears 30 seconds later after I meet him, and it takes about a min for everything to appear when I get to the mystic forge area.

I hate LA!…
