I wanted to get my Mad Memories book placed on another toon and found when I used a trans that it still kept it soulbound to the toon it was originally on (all back pieces seem to be soul bound upon use, so change to soulbound when I tried this). So I thought this would be a neat idea to have Fine Transmutation Stones turn soulbound items to account bound items, though when you equip it to another toon it goes back to soulbound.

If you can find a non-soulbound back piece, you can use a transmutation stone to change it. You just need to put Mad Memories and the non-soulbound back item into the Transmutation window, pick the MM appearence but the stats of the other item.

I believe the only non-soulbound back piece is the bag given away during Wintersday, though, so you’d be sacrificing a unique skin.

yea only one i’ve got is the pvp one.
So would that make that particular backpack pvp still were I to transmute it.

The idea stands though, I’d like to see that happen

If so post it since I’ve not found any. Far as I can tell all the ones in TP are soulbound upon acquire and if you use a trans said item will still be soulbound.

it has been mentioned in other posts: either the toymakers bag or get the quaggon backpack – you get a white back item with that. transmuting onto either will make it account bound
But there should be a stone that allows a soulbound item to be made account bound

I was actually going to suggest this last week, though I was going to suggest a new “soulstone” (for want of a better, non-trademarked, term). Among the other benefits, you could use a Legendary on one character and then, when you decide to get a different one, you can give it to another.

Soulbound on acquire from the TP? Honestly, think about what you said. How did the item not soulbind to the player before putting it on the tp then?

It still remains that if you use any back piece (except for the one apparently on that quaggon backpack (pvp winter’s day backpack didn’t work and my others were being used, thanks for the info by the way Burnweed)) it still remains that when you use a soulbound backpiece or possibly any other soulbound item to another that is soul bound upon use said item will still be soulbound to said toon.

Honestly, adding this little tidbit to a fine transmutation stone OR making another transmutation stone that would add that extra bit, along with what a fine transmutation stone gives, to make items account bound would be a pretty good idea.
