Guild Wars 2

Yeah okay that isn’t very specific. But this is a suggestions forum, and my suggestion is exactly that: fix bugs.

I’m not going to say fix a specific bug or two, because really, they all SHOULD be fixed.

Basically this post was inspired by me coming to this website to discuss a current bug, and seeing the homepage telling how great Guild Wars 2 is as a game. And it’s a good game, really. But I feel like no matter what exciting new content you can add, or how beautiful the graphics are, if the game doesn’t deal with its bugs promptly…How can it be that great?

With the new Wintersday content, there have been a lot of bugs. And sure, bugs happen, especially with new updates…But is it possible to maybe check for and fix some of these bugs before releasing the content? I’m sure most people would agree that we would wait an extra day or week for the update, if we didn’t have to deal with bugs possibly ruining the experience of the new content.

But even aside from bugs in new content…There are plenty of bugs that have been around in the game for months, without fixes. Personally I like to do Fractals a lot, and I see all sorts of bugs in there. It seems a little better, I think, after the Fractured update, but still…There are times when people don’t get transformed into a charr in the ascalon fractal, or an asura in the thaumanova reactor fractal; there’s (I’m pretty sure) still the bug where players can stack on the Cliffside boss so he continuously drops his hammer, even AFTER that was said to be fixed. The molten fractal boss sometimes checkpoints players directly back into the fighting arena, instead of the start of the fractal…Sometimes my player freezes and won’t move for a few moments (which can be really, really bad in some fights). And I’m sure there are a lot of other bugs I either don’t know about or am not thinking of right this moment, but I invite players to mention them here or in the Game Bugs forum. And maybe this thread seems like it should belong there, but I meant it here-Suggestions. The Bug forum is for people to bring bugs to Anet’s attention, and the purpose of this thread is to say: fix ’em.
