Fix Queensdale farming
I think the problem is that there is a lack of communication between the farmers and the non-farmers.
There is nothing to be fixed. Jus TELL people on /map that the champion is dead. If your server has a good community, they will be cool with it and just move to the next one. People hate wasting silver waypointing to a champion that someone killed already, so just tell them that the champion is down so they won’t waypoint for nothing.
They are playing the game just like you. Your way of playing is not better than their way. I usually follow the farm train beause I want greens and blues for salvaging for luck. It is fun, relaxing and the people are great. Usually, to be honest, the people that are rude are the ones that are killing the champions without the zerg and that start trolling on /map when someone asks if someobe killed the champion already.

Yes there is. A rewards system that draws a large amount of players to a few number of zergs across the entire game world, repeating a very limited set of trivial tasks over and over is about as worse as it can get. If farmers were in instanced areas, these players wouldn’t be a nuisance to others.
What should be fixed:
1. Queensdale is easy as it’s a starter zones. Starter zones should be balanced so they’re less rewarding than other zones. The world bosses will still draw players.
2. The most rewarding content should consist of gameplay that encourages a populated world with good spread of players, and it should also be considered to be more fun. The most rewarding setup should be a small group of players (party size) roaming in PvE doing unique events (lower rewards on doing same events over and over).
1 – Queensdale is not nearly as profitable as higher level areas because the chances to get exotic champion bags are lower. If you try farming champions at Orr or other lvl 80 area, you will see the difference. So yeah, that part is balanced already, even if not everybody knows that.
2 – Why? Because that’s how you want to play? What if other players like to run around with a zerg? You don’t have to think a lot, it is relaxing and a lot of people have fun doing that. Why do you get to tell what should be considered to be fun?

I think the farmers need to work around everyone else.
All spawned champs are fair game.

Like I say in mots threads, insulting someone just because they killed a champ out of order is never warranted, but on that note.
One of the reasons these zergs form in the first place is to avoid inconveniencing each other. People don’t just participate in the queens zerg for loot, there are also people there for exp, and karma, including the people who are there because they’ve always been in queensdale, even before the champ loot buffs.
On the other side of things you have people who kill champs out of order on purpose, and then begin to taunt the zerg in map chat for the sole purpose of trying to get a reaction out of them.
Sure, people could all split up and do there own thing, but then a situation is created where people are missing out on events, exp, karma, champ boxes, fighting over champs, etc.
There are some bad apples in the bunch, but one of the major reasons these zergs form is due to player cooperation, but there are numerous threads popping up on the forums attempting to demonize the champ trains.
I can understand why some people have problems with champ trains, but I think generalizing them all as rude players that bark at anyone they come across in order to strengthen their arguments is unfair.

I made a post suggesting that champ farmers spread out into other zones.
People farming queens are wasting time unless they need the karma or dailies.
Higher zones are much more efficient. Anyone that’s 80 and farming queens is only wasting their own time. Pity them.
Give other starter areas the same amount of champs perhaps?

Dunno what rewards the most, the fact that there is a large zerg there is testimony that rewards are to high.

Let me rephrase it in a different way.
Do you believe that the highest rewards, the most profitable gameplay in guild wars 2, should be gained by doing the extremely unchallenging champ rotations?
The high champ rewards should have never been added, and there’s a very important reason as to why that is so.
In GW2 rewards are given to everyone who participated in killing an enemy. The problem is that with to large groups of players, they will simply kill enemies to quickly, and only a few of the players will actually get hits on the veterans and normal mobs. The champions are the exception here, because their very high health and scaling, enables every player to deal some damage.
Say, ANET managed to make some changes to the reward system such that the most rewarding content, would be to roam challenging areas in 3-6 man groups. Don’t you find this to be a better candidate for high rewards compared to the champ trains?
I honestly do not think this is an issue that anet should solve by changing mechanics. The system works fine. But some people do not know how to behave themself in chat.
You can politely ask people to call champs before engaging and if they do so, you can also ask them to wait with the attack for 2 minutes so everyone can get there in time.
But the rage that is going on by some players is simular to the rage going on during clockwork chaos. Please report anyone who goes out of line in chat. Nobody should dictate someone else how to play the game as it is going on right now by some.
I also suggest to Arenanet to have a zero tolerance policy against people involved in those flames. If you find the need to rage like some do, you need a cooldown. So 72 hour suspension should solve many problems. a: the worse people are taken out of the game for some time. b:word spreads quickly and others knows to behave themself.
