Pretty good idea. Crafting definitely needs an overhaul. I see legendary weapons as a gimmick to get people to buy gold through the item store. It’s sad that the hardest part of grinding a legendary is the monetary part.
I would love crafting to actually produce items of value. I also think them allowing everyone to do everything in crafting on one character ruined the market value. Why would I get anyone else to make me stuff when i have 400 in everything?

I concur. if they really cared about crafting they’d stop using the mystic toilet for everything and return to the time honored tradition of adding recipes to the disciplines already in existence and they’d allow for the making of precursors via the regular crafting disciplines without this 250 of everything nonsense. The same goes for ascended gear.

I like your suggestions for more skins. Maybe for the pre-cursor make require 2 different professions and a specific place in the world to create it?
Maybe some other suggestions:
- Depending on the Profession, you can exchange one stat for another i.e. A Weaponsmith could make Power/Precision/Toughness on a Greatsword into Power/Vitality/Toughness, where the Vitality stat would be the same as the Precision. Likewise, a Huntsman could change the stats on Bows, Guns + Warhorn, while an Armoursmith could change stats on Heavy Armour. The level of gear somewone can exchange the stats on will depend their crafting level (i.e. a level 200 Armoursmith couldn’t change the stats on Draconic gear)
- To go with the above suggestion, a face-to-face system where people can pay to replace the stat. They place the item into the box along with the amount of money, and then the other player exchanges the stat when they’re happy with the amount. This way no items are traded by trust, and no-one is gimped by having soulbound gear.

Not a bad idea at all.
But I do wanna note that not all of us think the current craftable skins are butt ugly =P
They really need to do something to make crafting worth the while. Currently it’s a total waste of time to level a crafting profession other than gaining exp. Cooking is the only profession with a recurring revenue stream. Everything else is buy once use forever and it cannot last long.
