Personally? No thanks.
Personal feelings aside, I hope this game continues to attract new players. I’d rather they not have to figure out what things like Malice and Expertise actually do.

It’s very trivial to figure it out; I don’t see this as being a very good reason to not have them. I mean seriously, how can you prefer “Critical Damage” to “Prowess”?
Because it’s direct, requires little to no thought in figuring out what it does, and doesn’t complicate anything.

Tell me – did you have a hard time figuring out what Power, Precision, Toughness, and Vitality do? Was it a terrible, frustrating chore?
Nope, because it’s clear what they are. Also the belittling tone isn’t necessary, and just makes you seem less agreeable with.

The reasons for leaving it as is outweigh the reasons for changing it back. It’s an unnecessary change that adds little to nothing to the game. As is, it’s objectively logical. The old way, it was subjectively “cool”. There’s no reason to make the change.
Since we are giving opinions, let my start by saying I’m not an MMO guy, the only other one I played was SWTOR and that’s because it was given to me as a gift.
But still, GW2 is in my top 10 all time favorites (been playing since C64/A2600).
And it’s in my top 10 because, well, it’s a kitten good game and it’s ACCESSIBLE.
I can tell you things like “Malice” and “Prowess” would definitely weight against it IMO, they do sound “cool” but its an unnecessary evil specially if ANET wants to bring more players in like the other user said, personally I recommend GW2 to every gamer I know and I’ve always promise them they’ll get their moneys worth with it, and thats thanks to the great learning curve that makes it so accessible to new comers and noobs if you will.
