How about a food slot on the Hero panel where you can put say 10 Omnomberry Pies and one will automatically be used every time the food buff wears off, until there’s none in the slot anymore.

There are 2 reasons for this:
1) It will save an inventory slot.
2) I tend to forget or not see when the food buff has worn off (especially in chaotic fighting situations). This would solve that problem.

Yes it’s sort of easy to miss your food buff ending, even if your character actually tells you he/she is hungry.

Audio-visual warnings about expiring food/oils/potions would be quite useful especially for people running WvWvW. Right clicking the buff display icon (wrench for potions/stones/oils and apple for food) might be a good way of enabling/disabling these warnings.

I wholeheartedly agree, it’s a good idea.

At least one almost identical suggestion was made over 10 months ago though, so it may not necessarily have a great chance of being implemented.

Such a thing would be a welcome addition to the game and promote the use of food buffs which many players don’t use and many more probably don’t realize exist. The affect this would have on the value of food buffs as more are used is also a plus.

Yes please I think this would be wonderful.

I like this idea as well, have a slot for food and one for sharpening stone/maintenance oils/potions.
