Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like a lot of content between Tequatl and the many Cathedrals in Orr just get ignored after you’ve finished A) Map completion, or B) The personal story. With the lack of heart quests in these areas, there’s not much of a reason for people to hang around other than to obtain skill points… and so Fort Trinity, much like many other major outposts in the game, just get overlooked despite the idea that the Undead are still a fairly big threat despite Zhaitan’s defeat.
Therefore, I was thinking maybe it would be worth attempting to make an event similar to how the Claw of Jormag works up in Frostgorge, except with Fort Trinity as the desired location.
The beginning of the attack on Fort Trinity would be players being required to defend and capture/secure certain sectors of Fort Trinity, such as the docks, the center courtyard, and the submarine launch bay. This is similar to how the Claw of Jormag event creates large crystals that spawn enemies and players would need to destroy the crystals to get the Claw to appear. Except with Fort Trinity, the primary target wouldn’t be a dragon. My idea was that, similar to that event that takes place on the docks, an undead ship would appear and start flinging icky dead things at the docks while two smaller undead dragons hover overhead and drop undead into the fortress along with the occasional bombardment of their own skills. The primary target for the players would be the ship in the water, which would require players to defend a mega laser (similar to the Tequatl or the canons in the Claw of Jormag fights). And of course since there needs to be a major threat beyond the same undead forces, the primary target (at about 75% charged I guess?) would be a champion Mouth of Zhaitan who is trying to consume the mega laser… or something. He would knock out the person charging the canon and until the champion is dealt with, the canon cannot continue to charge up. If time runs out, the mouth consumes the mega laser and the difficulty fighting undead in the area (dynamic events) would be increased because of more undead that appear.
That was just off the top of my head. Of course some tweaking would need to be done, but I do want to see more emphasis on locations such as this.
