I hesitate to ever push social media functions, but for the sake of this particular forum it’d be a great feature.

Stating the obvious, Likes/Dislikes are quick ways of allowing people to support or not, any post they read, may cut down on the inappropriate chatter as well and a quick way to gather a consensus.

Just an idea

+1 already exists. I would like -1 as well. I would also like the reputation system so that good posters can be rewarded and trolls can gain notoriety.

dislike would be good too. ie if you look at sports forums, you can really see when people do not agree with comments when they have a 100 dislikes :p

Is it just me or is anyone else only seeing the +1 button in some/ not all threads. I don’t see any +1 button in this thread and was thinking it was only showing in those threads where the op has ticked the QA selector when creating the thread, but I may be wrong.

[edit] Right, scrap that. Now I just posted this reply, all of a sudden the +1 button has appeared in this thread =/
