Guild Missions will be dynamic, PvE, open world events. This means they are effectively server-wide.

How about we finally get server specific threads on the official forum here. I’m all about independent server forum sites, but it’d just make sense for the game’s creators to provide a simple service on their site for this kind of thing. Individual server threads would do 2 things:

-keep a single-guild missions thread from becoming jumbled, unorganized and difficult to navigate
-promote guesting across servers for guild-centric events.

Thoughts?

I’d rather have server’s subforum, and in such manner that you can only see your own servers subforum. There are some servers that basically have this already, the non-English servers.

People who can argue often offer a good and meaningful conversation about the subject.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.

I think this is what I meant. Id like to see a “servers” category of forums, and then each server listed there.

we should be able to see each server’s sub forums and threads, for those reasons I already mentioned above.

Well, I’d rather have the server subforums accessible only for the people on that server.

1. I wouldn’t have a list of unrelated subforums on my forum page.
2. It is the only way WvW players could organize decent strategy on the forums. Any 3rd party forum isn’t “secure” as the official forum is the only one getting the data about the users account.

suppose the WvW reason is a good one, hadn’t considered that.

what would you do if you regularly guest on another server? which one would you see?

You only quest on the other server, if you go to WvW, you can’t quest. So it is still going to be your home server. (If you go there so much, why not just swap over?)

>_<

this doesn’t have anything to do with WvW.

Its for PvE. A place for servers to have to discuss what’s going on on their server. (ie, upcoming server wide access Guild Missions in an open world)

For example: we have a guild member who’s wife does hardcore WvW on another server. He resides on her server as well, but he spends most his in game time guesting on our server. If there were a single server you could see on the forum, he wouldn’t see the one he needed.

I think servers should have homes on the official forum is all.

Well, I just see the WvW as the main reason to have official server subforums here.
As for guild activities, you can surely use your community’s forums, or put up an announcement ingame.
