OK you can’t show everything and I agree that it’s important to see enemies but it’s also important to be able to see our own commanders at least. Please fix this!

The rendering issues aren’t as simple as you might think.

They don’t have a user-friendly input system that tells the game to load this thing first and load that thing last. They coded the system first, and then added the content on top of it and it rolled out from there.

That coding for the game is equivalent to one of the law of physics for our universe.
Changing that is brain-numbingly complicated; no one needs to be a programmer to understand that.

Now, this is me paraphrasing, but an ANet staff has already stated that the task of doing so would normally take 5~10 years. They’re trying to do it in less then a year.

I don’t think they would put “Render ally commanders last” ahead of everything else, and once they’re done everything else, there’s no point in changing the rendering priority based on player-type.

Not saying it’s a bad idea. Just that it’s not a necessary change at this point.
