Hello!

I’m playing GW2 since betas and within those months i’ve made some friends in there. All the problem began when i started to forget who is who(i have terrible memory to account names) and where i met him or her. I tried to give all my friends custom nicknames with suffixes like PVP or COF to recognize them and easily whisper when i want to team up for something but apparently it all dissapeared when i changed character (or it was after some update, anyways i lost all my custom nicknames). As you can imagine now i have pretty big mess in my friends list and i was wondering if it wouldn’t be bad idea to create custom categories for friend list, so i can create for example category “sPVP” and “drag and drop” all my PVP folks there. It would be very clean and handy for many of us. I’d like to know what other players and devs think about this and really hope to see it in future. Cheers!

I agree it’s a nice idea and I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about the issue of the nicknames resetting after the updates, a list of categories or anyway a more customizable Contacts panel would be useful to have.
I don’t know why there are few replies to this topic but I hope Anet reads it.

Great suggestion, would love to see categories added to the friends list.

Custom categories would be best, but if not, things like Fractals, WvW, Dungeons, sPvP, Guildies, etc. would be nice.
