I think people on your friends list should have different coloured names (maybe pink, like whispers in the chat) like party members and guild members. It would make it easier to notice your friends when they are playing, especially if they’re not on their usual character, so you can join up if you happen to come across each other in the same area.

I would like to go one step further. I would like a separate chat window just for people on my friend’s list.

I’m not really talking about the chat though. I’m talking about the names over their heads in the game, to make them stand out and easily be recognized as they run past you

I’d say that big floating tag over their head is pretty noticeable unless there are a slew of people. And if you look at your Friend’s List, you should know they names of your friend’s chars unless you really don’t care about them that much…

I just think it would make it easier to see them. It’s not like everyone plays on the same character all the time, I personally switch character quite often. And I would not assume all my friends know the names of all my characters.

All they have to do is open the Friend’s List. It shows your account name and your current char name.

I know, but they don’t get any sort of notification when I change character.
And I’m not talking about anything planned, I’m talking about just playing, minding your own business and then coming across one of your friends whom you can join if you want to. It would make it easy to notice them without having to check the friend’s list all the time to keep updated on what character friends are playing and without having to read everyone’s names
