Sometimes id think it would be interesting if we could customize the style and color of our toons underwear. Female and male. I know its a weird post and a little kitten But I just find it hard to believe all races shop at the same store. Do all female humans shop at like Jennas secret or something? Im just saying. Would it be that bad to see girls in thongs. And guys in speedos? Its just a small change, people are wearing their armor 95 percent of the time so not like it would really matter. Its just underwear. And for like sylvari, Different color leafs I guess. I dunno.

I wouldn’t mind being able to dye our undergarments.

The thing is, the underwear texture isn’t there for realism, it’s there to cover up the nudity. And of course, the nudity is covered up because it would result in the game getting a much higher rating and thus missing most of its key demographic.

And since it isn’t there for a customization purpose, there’s no need to allow it to be customized.

In fact, arguments about realism in any fantasy game are a bit awkward.

Im just saying it wouldn’t kill to make some customization like that. Its not like everyone is going to be naked, were still gonna have our underwear and stuff. It will just be different from others. And its only awkward if you make it awkward. I played saints row the third, everything was customizable, it was fun.

The forum censors you, so every swear it detects (or thinks it does) it switches out for kitten.

The old guru forum used “RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED” in place of the profanity. lol.

..it may be that the underwear is not a layer but part of the avatar skin, thus can’t be colored separately..

Gamer’s, we’re an extremely creative bunch. They should have known we’d feel frustrated by the cookie cutter appearance classes. I’m with you that they need to open up customization far more. I just posted in another thread the same thing. They need to release the skins for all armor classes. The stats and appearance should be separated so we can have the looks we so desire. If anything, it would increase the sales of fine transmutation stones in the gem store.

Agreed, I want black underwear. Why? Because it compels better on my skin color, Or at least I think it will.

You should be glad you have yellow underwear. In Guild Wars 1 it was gray and you couldn’t dye it either. Made me feel like I was running around in underwear that hadn’t been washed in a while. The yellow is a (small) improvement.

I’ve seen some screenshots floating around: After 3 Years of another game and a lot of complaints about the crappy underwear they’ll finally change it to something more modern and cool.

I don’t think that will happen here. I actually find my leafes rather funny, looks like a thong on a guy, pretty unsexy imho… xD But well… I’ve got some more leafes to cover that for god’s sake! ^^

My only gripe is with human female undies. All other races seem to have texture to their cover up clothes, but the human female (haven’t seen human male so don’t know if it’s the same or not) looks like it’s untextured. It just looks odd and out of place to me.

I’m not going to lose any sleep over it, as I try not to get to a point were all my armour is damaged. So I never actually see my character’s underwear, beyond character creation and seeing it on other players. But it’s just one of those little things that niggles me.
