I was pondering a lot abaut what lass to play, and i still cant seriously decinde, and started to realize, its becosue none of them perfectly gits me like a glove.
Necromancer was my most favorite class in any rpg or fantasy setup film or video game, but i was sadly dissapointed in it. I was hoping for a more classical portrey.
Elementalist was my second pick but that did not work out eather. I wished for a more “tipical” wizard or mage but even trough the awesome design of the class and mechanic i didnt find it fun. Its propably not for my taste.
So i was wondering what will come in future expansions. Maybe a class that will make me play crazy, becouse it fits me and its well designed also? I do hope so. Becouse even if the game by itself is totally amazing and provides anything it promises, i dont find it fully fun for these resons.
So here are some of my suggestions on future might be classes :
(i wont detail them right now, i just want to prove base ideas for anyone who feels detailing the ideas, or classes. Or give a headstart what aur taste in fantasy classes right now for devs.)
Cultist,Priest,Devotee :
Anyway you name it its still the same in the end. A class that is bound to a god(s) and invokes there power. Or summons fort its own inner power from faith.
-I understand the concept of having no healer, and many players say : priest? its stupid there are no healers. BUT thats exakittenhe reson a priest like class could make a superb addition to the game. Finally IT WOULD NOT BE FORCED to the concept of HEALER.
I see a lot of potential in it.
I could mostly see this in a theme of Elonian style with (Egyiptian like clothingand theme owerall) and decoration. But there are so many ways it can develop. Like summoning snakes, stunning foes with its sight, summoning the power of the sun to burn, or frosty mist that would slow down enemyes.
Psyonist, Mentalist, ArcaneEye(or evil eye)
A class that manipulates objects and others araund him. Can float things,throw them araund. Turn enemyes against eachother. Can bend the will of others. I tipical class i was missing a lot.
Trough i understand a LOT of players think : eyy its the same as mesmer.
But thats not true. Mesmers work with illusions, and thats another table. Having 6 swords float araund me cutting stuff down. Or pulling someone to myself and stabbing him. Or pushing aways someone with a psyonic blast. Or simply lifting them up in air to make them useless.
Wizard,LoreMaster,Hermit
A class that is totally devoted to the classical style of fantasy wizard. Not specialized in any school of magic, its owerall skills are pure and potent. It not only fits the lore (priory) but also the bacground of the game. The base mage that improves in Elementalist or Nekromancer way, was lacking all this time. Trough lets not make the mistake of taking them less then any other class. They are not “simply” mages or wizards. They taken there art to extremes, and able to cast the tipically fun spells that make you pick them in any rpg.
-I could imagine them using dual scepter. Or even guns or a whole new set of items like enginer can : Scrolls, artifacts…
Animator, Conjurer,Transmuter
In short cut, the class that can manipulate materials or make them alive. A class that had a main pet(s) that provide him skills. Or a class that can actually alter the zone araund him. (for short time) Can summon a big bag of weapons or items that are usefull. (like torches or javelins to throw) Can turn terrain to mud, or oil that can burn.
Whell so faar thats all i could came up with. I will detail thme later on if anyone is interested in my whole ideas.
