This would be a great fractal idea:

Halls of Ruin Fractal :

The players appear in a ruined version of the Hall of Heroes from Guildwars 1. In this fractal, the players must guide a ghostly hero through a series of mobs that resemble popular guildwars 1 enemies (bladed Aataxes and other mobs present in the original Tomb of Primevil Kings from Gw1).

When players reach the final room they will find themselves facing a familiar Gw1 Hall of Heroes battle in which the ghostly Hero stands at the center of a platform and a capture circle appears.

The players will be faced with one of many random teams that resemble Guildwars 1 builds:

TEAM 1: IWAY

8 Bunny Thumpers w/ pets. If players kill the pets, the thumpers shout “I WILL AVENGE YOU!” and grow increasingly stronger.

TEAM 2: EDGE BOMB

An assortment of enemies and one monk who uses “Mark of Protection” which grants one enemy an invulnerability boon. One ranger enemy places a “Spirit of Extinction” that must be killed, otherwise each time a player goes into down state the surviving players take damage.

TEAM 3: SEARING FLAMES

Several flame legion ghosts attack the player’s team, flooding the room with burning circles. These mobs do extra damage to anyone that is burning.

TEAM 4: BALANCE

A balanced team setup in which 2 axe warriors, 2 elementalists, 2 rangers, and 2 monks attack the player’s team. The axe warriors are actually named “Shock Axe Warriors.”

TEAM 5: RANGER SPIKE

A team that will periodically all target one player and fire a piercing shot that must be avoided or LoS’ed. This team also places down various spirits that debuff the player team and drops healing springs.

Corrupted Temple Fractal :

Shiro Tagachi, enough said. A remake of the epic battle against Shiro at Raisu palace, complete with Shiroken mobs.

Shiro would also trap players into Shiroken husks and force them into a jumping puzzle to get their body back.

This would count as a high level “Boss” Fractal, like the Jade Maw.

Completely support. Forget everything else, do this next, for the reason that it would be really fun, and really funny to laugh at the people who have no idea what any of this is.

Touch rangers, lich spike, bspike, FC bspike, para spike, and all the others I forgot. Pretty much all of those would be possible cept para spike, since we don’t have any classes running around in skirts shouting at people anymore.

The Junundu Queen!
Worm Fight, only Myst-ified with jumping platforms over the instadeath sand. The Queen should function a lot like zelda worms, with full on jumping attacks to get in melee range, and long-telegraphed junundu siege that temporarily breaks several platforms, but gives players a solid 4 seconds to clear targeted platforms. I always wanted to see those Junundu pull a “free willy” Adds include lesser melee junundu that reach up on the sides of the platforms.

Zombie Rurik
Zombie Rurik now literally summons a hundred blades as aoes that drop from a cieling filled with swords. This battle is a mixture of the zombie rurik fight and a sort of surreal Ascalonian version of “The Pit” from Mortal Kombat. This battle takes place on a large platform with no rails on the outsides. The floor below is instant death and filled with… a hundred more swords.
Rurik does a mixture of reactive block attacks (riposte-blocking stance, gains riposte counters when struck, at end does an aoe whirl that gains damage for each counter.) and telegraphed full-ledge charges across the platform which knock players back. In addition, any players struck by a falling sword will remain pinned until the sword is destroyed (functionally, like grasping vines) Rurik has no adds in this fight, as the swords and his reactive and positional abilities apply all the pressure.

Tangle Root
The infamous GW1 zone, full of trolls, suprise popup mob groups, and a maze-like z- axis path. This path should randomize heavily each run. Midboss events may include timed jumping bits, collecting marking webs, or “holdout” events versus massive groups of weak mobs. End boss is Carlotta, a Massive spider, because the mists don’t remember everything exactly the way it was! Carlotta uses the standard spider boss bag of tricks, but will also cocoon downed players and carry them up to her web. In order to retrieve downed players, teammates must attack the web. Players who self-revive in the web may attack and use abilities but can not move.
