This thread is simple. Since anet is planning on giving all classes access to all weapons, I took the initiative and made an idea of my own which I shall post here.

This is my idea for what the skillset and traits could look like if thieves were given rifles.
I designed it by making it initiative heavy and more powerful the farther you are. I also added a few ideas for initiative use and a specialized auto attack. The auto changes every 400 units starting from a very weak shotgun attack up to a slower but more powerful shot at 801. The last 2 skills are powerful but come with a number of drawbacks:
1.) High cost.
2.) Roots.
3.) Initiative regen stops.
4.) Initiative drains while rooted. No refunds for canceling early.
