Hi there,

My name is Kaz and I have just come to realise this, as I wanted to create a poll to get feedback from the community, and see what the community thinks on subjects etc.
It became apparent however, that there is no feature that allows for polls to be setup to allow the community to vote on topics etc. so that every one, including Anet can have an idea of how the community feels about new content, current content, or old content etc. and allow for some of the important questions to be asked as well. This would also serve Anet well I feel, as it would allow them to have better communication with the player base.
To include polls, could help to better shape the game and community as a whole, and maybe also prevent backlash from the community were there to be disagreements.

Anyways, if this feature were to be implemented, you would need to set a limit of 1 vote per account to at least attempt to allow for best accuracy (not saying that this will provide the most accurate results, however that will be as good as it gets). Of course there would need to be numerous categories for these poll’s, to prevent more important 1s from missing out on votes etc.

But anyways on another note, this could just be a little bit of fun, as the community could create their own polls to see what the community think’s about aspects of the games etc.

Anyways this is just my suggestion.

Best regards,

Kaz

Most developers dont allow this because it is a way to Visually display people’s feedback.
thats a big no no. Visual explanation is stronger than Words can ever be in business.

For example:

What would be more damaging;

*a Visual Poll displaying that most people on the forum dislike a certain feature in the game,

or

  • a Few forum post saying how much people dislike a feature?

they did have something like this during the beta, where you could rate events and personal stories after you completed them
