Guild Wars 2

Here ill state my short , hopefully, opinion of GW2 after 1 month.
So as many ppl i was highly impressed by this game over beta weekend. I was so sure its awesome game that i did preorder almost as soon i seen few vids of it.
Beta ended and we got the real game.
Then it started.
We got unable to login in for days, we lived trough it.
We couldnt use broker for more days, well we lived trough it.
We cant trade each other (srsly WTF) O.o
So after this few things , i was like ok now ill lvl and wait till this things get stable and ill do some instances till i lvl to 80, and then do some wvw when its down with lag and wait time.
But , instances were SO hard, so i was then thinking , ye well im noob , maybe i need some gear to do this better, ill just lvl and go when im 80.
some time passed, i crafted my epic set, got runes, got weapons , i was really happy with it except the part where i wanted some lets say wvw action.
But NO. No wvw for me. Waiting times are 2h+, and well since im not able to play 10h per day , well u know ….
So AGAIN i said cool, ill wait more till they update server , give us more space or w/e.
I started dungeons again. I got disappointed. They are so dull, hard, impossible. but hey i found that cof is not that hard and gear look nice so wth ill do it a bit its fast even if it is boring.
But then, update came, great ….
So now , today, its like this :
Cant do WVW – cant enter it and i cant wait 2h+ to just get a bit pvp time.
Even if u get in wvw , lags are really bad.
Cant do dungeons – dungeons are not just stupid (why the hell u made choices, make it random event like u did world BUT not as hard as its now, so that every run is different) and frikken to hard.
Still no trade (really no comment).

So in the end of no so short story for me, i hardly have many things to do in gw2 and i start to feel bad. Maybe its me who is wrong here , u ppl can point out that if u care , but think dungeons and wvw needs to get worked on…
So read sugestion between lines of my store, if not, im just one voice , not important.

Have you created a character for each profession? It might breathe some new life into your gameplay.

even though OP has poor english, all his points are valid. the levelling experience is good because of the whole group questing/events. but this game needs a serious amount of work.

Well, have my apologies, for my , not so fluent English. I hope at least that ppl will see general idea about what i was trying to say.

there are multiple WvW maps, have you tried all of them?

regardless, transfer to a lower pop server. if you want to play with guildies and friends take them with you. it won’t just improve the game for you, but for everyone else as well. transfers are still free, use the opportunity.

no face-to-face trading is a deliberate decision on ArenaNet’s part and working as intended. it’d be a waste of effort to implement this ancient “feature”, because you either exchange items with your friends/guildies who you can trust (through mail) or otherwise just use the global trading post.
both of these features are instant and work wherever you are (you just have to pick up stuff later if you buy something on the TP).

So let me get this right Nemui, each time i wish to have fun i should ask 10 -20 of my friends to move to some other server ? Thats great solution.
Also i really dont get how simple hand to hand trade is ancient solution. thats same as if i would use UPS to share books with my friends.

First of all, it’s not even a month.

I pretty much have done everything possible in GW2, except for crafting a legendary.

It was fun when I was leveling yeah, but this is not something new since in many MMO games, leveling is fun.

I didn’t know GW2 demands you to be a casual player if you want to have fun. People blame you when you say that game ends too soon and there is nothing to do once you hit 80 because they tell you that you have no life.

I think GW2 will receive good content updates but for some reason, I don’t feel like I really, really wanna play some more. I was done with MMO games before GW2, this game could earn my interest so yeah, I gave it a try and it felt like the old times when I was leveling -I don’t mean that leveling is just like the old games because it is definitely not-.

It took me two weeks, getting a full exotic gear set, dungeon skins, full world completion, mastering crafting professions. I really don’t have a reason to enter WvWvW because I’m not interested in crafting legendaries and WvWvW is totally useless if you’re not gonna craft legendary items.

So yeah, I think my GW2 experience ends here, for now. I’ll check content updates though but I think they will be two weeks long packs even for casuals, so I’ll probably finish them in a week.

GW2 gets 9/10 from me for everything between level 1 and level 80. As for beyond level 80, I can’t give any points because there is nothing really there, after level 80.

no, you should permanently settle over to a different server with lower population.
