hi,

i’m not sure if this can be done but here are some suggestions that may improve general game exp.

1. Guild vs Guild

Basic rules

Two guilds declare war to each other, members that are representing those guilds are hostile and can fight anywhere out of main towns.

First guild that reach 100 kills wins the war.

This will bring open world pvp to guild wars 2 and it may bring some spirit in this game and make it more fun then it is now.

Create some unique rewards for a guilds that have success in this (glory points, special banners, some cool guild emblems and gear skins)

2. Remove Way Points

I know this is a huge step but let me try to bring some benefits that may come from this

Arena Net create one of the most beautiful worlds in mmorpg but then they just place all those way points and make the world so small that most of us never felt the size and adventure of it.

Way Points are the only way to travel across the world in gw2 and that’s just wrong, it’s a role play game and you have to bring us something more then portals, why don’t make a zeppelin that will bring players from one point to another (that way you will c more people actually traveling across the world of gw2 or make GROUND MOUNTS that will help us move faster.

3. TPVP

Let us be honest, pvp in gw2 didn’t make the success we all wanted, people have several ideas why that happened and this is mine.

PVP is not part of this game, it’s like a separate game that have no connection with the rest of the game and that’s the main reason.

Elite pvp players like to show people their fancy gear and title, so why don’t let them take the gear that they earn in pvp out of HOM?

Top rated players should have access to unique armor and weapon skins that will separate them from others and make them look special and strong. PVE and PVP players must have different armor skins.

ALSO, all battlegrounds you place in pvp are “point control based” like Arathi Basin in World of Warcraft and they are good but why don’t bring us some “capture the flag” battlegrounds? we all know how popular Warsong Gulch is in WoW. You may also bring us some death match battlegrounds, they will b short and fun.

World vs World

Oh my god, this is the best part of gw2 and i must salute to Arena Net for creating this. Also i have some ideas how to make that more interesting.

First of all i think you should remove water from borderlands, no1 like to swim and actually i think it’s a waste of space.

As i know there is a option in game “MELEE ATTACK ASSIST” that prevents running through the target. I think this is a awesome option and that it should be always ON without option to turn it OFF. Why? Just imagine how realistic it is then when you just run trough your enemy or npc. Also it will bring the pvp in World vs world to a new level.

Merge the NA and EU so we can fight with them. If you check the last few months you will c that in EU servers are locked in the same tier with the same opponents for a long time now.

Buildings

I think that most of the people in w3 are just roaming around with zerg, just a few are actually focused on defending the towers and the main reason for that is that there is no benefits of siting in the tower for 1h doing nothing.

Why don’t you create some rewards for guild that hold the tower captured (with guild tag) for more then few hours, this way guild members will spend more time upgrading the buildings, building the siege units and scouting the enemy groups. when you run with the zerg u get tons of loot and exp but if you sit on the tower and defend you don’t have same reward.

Also, why don’t you make a option for guild that have claim the tower to lock supply depot so random players can’t just run in steal all supply from the tower and run away? Also it will b good if players could actually drop supply that have in tower supply depot?

Commander

Like a party group, people in squad should b marked with blue dots. this way commanders will have better look.

Rank a commanders by their success in WvW (after 100 captured objects or defended or after 100 unique positive votes) with a different icon color. Or by the rank in WvW, just there must b the way to reward the commanders that contribute the server more then others.

Server Hall of Fame

Make a hall of fame that will present the top 10 players in several disciplines and place it like a stone board in center of one of the major towns:

1. Most kills in WvW
2. highest rank in fractals
3. highest rank in pvp
4. highest rank in WvW

If you want to make devs care at least a little bit about your sugegstion, forget reasoning with WoW

And they will never take off waypoints.

this is SUCH an awesome idea! full support!

2. Remove Way Points

I think its a preference thing, sure its immersing to actually take time to travel across land like in World of Warcraft but what if you want to run a dungeon and have to hoof it for 30 minutes before ‘yall’ can fight? I personally prefer wow immersion, being limited to real travel instead of insta teleport is really an unappreciated thing in mmos but unfortunately that’s not the kind of game arena is going for. When one is not doing dungeons i fully encourage everyone to walk the full distance to where you need to go its very immersive.

3. TPVP

i disagree, seperate tpvp is actually a new and innovative idea as it encourages players to play who havent invested there whole life just for some pretend armor. when everyones on a level playing field the skilled will automatically shine, this is an awesome core design for guild wars 2.

World vs World

while i agree that melee assist always on would be a CRAZY BRILLIANT IMMERSIVE see how large there army really is hardcore design, what happens with aoe and doorways? absolute cluster kitten and maybe even griefing sure it could discourage zerging… maybe if the melee assist option was like team fortress 2 where it only takes a very small amount of space to get around people. also ride the lightning gets messed up by melee assist so that would have to be fixed for moving targets.
other than that the rest of your ideas aren’t viable. a merge of NA and EU would send pings sky rocketing. maybe when the game has a few more years under its belt.

Buildings

This might work i agree that defending and keeping the watch, scouting the surrounding area of ones fort should be rewarded somehow… right now zerging is the most rewarded you are correct.

overall you have some good ideas but your punctuation is off for a formal suggestion.

2. No. Where are we supposed to spawn then when we die? Sometimes I don’t have the 30 minutes it would take to go from Point A to Point B, I use waypoints then but otherwise I generally hoof it after using a waypoint to get to the area I want to explore today.

And ANet has already said no to mounts I believe.

I actually agree for the WVW buildings part. People should be compensated for defending a keep from invaders. This way, it would also occur to the commanders how to distribute their army properly. If they fail they would be penalize and the other team has a chance to gather up points. I think that’s a really good idea.

Success is my only option, failure is not.
