GW2 is becoming more like a second work....
There’s lot’s of once per day events. Only the players who have a whole lot of time would be going through all of it each day.
Missing Dailies and Monthlies doesn’t set you back a terrible amount, but I’d argue that Monthlies are pretty easy to get done, even for the most casual of players if you put in a bit of effort to them.
Aside from that, I’m a little confused about what you’re saying here, are you saying items should be more easily obtainable without grinding? Its hard to balance a game for every type of player, you just have to accept that not all aspects of the game can be played by all people, but there is always a lot for you to do, and in most cases, I don’t think you really miss out on anything huge, usually just a title, minipet, or cosmetic item.

This. More options is better than less. It makes for a bigger world.
I would rather play GW2 real content and make dungeons than losing time making dailies and monthlies every day every month.

Then don’t do dailies every day or monthlies every month. It’s that simple.
This is my typical day.
Wake up.
Get on GW2.
Run leftover dungeons while waiting for new day to pop (server reset).
Run Arah P123.
Run CoF P12.
Run CoE P123.
Run AC P13.
Run CM P123.
Run HotW P23.
Run FotM 28/38/48.
Sit in LA.
Complete PvE daily.
I don’t bother with PvP dailies because they’re boring to me.
I don’t bother with Monthlies because finishing the daily (and just, you know, playing the game) completes it for me.
I don’t bother with anything I don’t want to do. If I don’t want to do fractals today, I won’t do fractals today.
Once you understand that you don’t have to do things you don’t want to, the game becomes so much more fun.
I understand you want devs to make games for you and you only, but you cant have that. Play what you want, don’t play what you don’t want, log off when your bored, log in when you want to play. get it? see how that works?
If GW2 feels like work, especially because of Dailies, you are either doing it wrong… or GW2 has achieved the status of a true MMO. MMOs are supposed to feel like work…
But seriously, stop fretting about Dailies. It sounds like you don’t play enough for the rewards you get from them to make any difference in your play experience.
