As there are pig / boar types of animals, I don’t see why we can’t have pork products in the Chef crafting discipline. There are Slabs of Red Meat and Slabs of Poultry Meat, so why not Slabs of Pork Meat?
Examples:
(1) Slab of Pork Meat + (3) Packets of Salt = (1) Slab of Bacon.
(1) Slab of Bacon + (1) Slab of Red Meat + (1) Loaf of Bread + (1) Cheese Wedge = (2) Bacon Cheeseburgers.
(1) Slab of Bacon + (1) Head of Lettuce + (1) Tomato + (1) Loaf of bread = (2) BLT Sandwiches.
I’m sure people could come up with other recipes up to 400 (Bacon Wrapped Steak?). By now you’re wondering why GW2 needs bacon – what would be the point? Someone is probably reading this and thinking to themselves, you need another reason to add bacon? Yes, let’s play Devil’s Advocate for a second – what effect would bacon based consumables bestow?
Agony Resistance.
Seems kind a obvious when you think about it. What other food product could be added that would be the opposite of Agony?

Bacon is already mentioned in passing so (as a Charr) we really should have access to it.
Please let us have our bacon.
Thank you.

Guild Wars 2 has a lot of spam already =)
But I agree. Meat does not equal meat. The least should have been a distinction between red meat, white meat and steak. Steak can be turned into ground meat which leaves a million possibilities.
If I can’t play Guild Wars 2 at work, I won’t work in Guild Wars 2 either.
