Hello everyone. I have been playing GW2 for about 2 months and during that time I have seen countless ppl complaining about the game. Yes I agree that there are allot of bugs in the game but you have to remember that GW2 is still young. Who ever reading this and played vanilla wow can remember all the bugs that wow had. Same thing just give it time for the Devs to sort out.

Now for the reason I am writing this msg and wall of text. If the creator and dev/ what ever you want to call them want to improve this game they need a fresh set of eyes.

1st of all get the GW2 community to help with designs of new weapons and gear for PVE, PVP, and WvW. You just let them design sets of armor and weapons and you the creator of GW can get your team to make it and test it. Perhaps pay the person who ever you choose a set or weapon from with 1000 gems or something.

GW2 needs better PVE PVP and WvW rewards. Ppl play the game for 2-3 months get bored and move on. You will lose sales in the end since ppl will not tell their friends about the “boring” game.

Start making raids/ larger Dungeons. 10 man or 15 man dungeons/raids since EU/USA ppl can join across realms so there is a plus on filling up groups with friends from other servers. Get PVE gear.

PVE armor sets and weapons so ppl know that guild/group are heavy PVE’ers since you need to grind for the tokens to buy that armor and weapons. PVE ppl will buy GW2 for that since you get the rewards for it. Quite frankly I am frustrated with LFG for CoF P1-2 farms and everyone having CoF gear. Get skill into this game by Introducing new raid content gear and weapons. Have like 3 raid instances ppl can go do by doing the qsts leading to the instance and being able to do that instance.

It will set the margin for the ppl farming CoF and what not since who ever is doing the raid instances will have better looking gear and stats wise. I am not saying increase the stats from say CoF greatsword that is currently 995-1100 dmg, 179 power, 128 precision and +9% crit dmg to something outrageous. Just a bit better.

1050-1300 dmg
200 power
150 precision
10% crit dmg

Something like that.

Now for the PVP players.

Add a token system where ppl that play WvW can buy gear and weapons they can use for WvW instead of PVE gear and same towards PVP. Add a system where ppl can buy the gear for the purpose they will use it for.

The whole story around ppl complaining is that there aren’t allot to do in GW2 snce the rewards are next to nothing.

if the Dev team get some ideas from the community on weapon sets and armor for PVE PVP and WvW to Distinguish the ppl from PVE PVP and WvW then this game will get a boost in sales and attendance. Make the game more attractive for the community since its really looking dull at this stage.

So in the end get the community involved to help out in creating armor and weapons perhaps have ideas on what to call instances and what types of creatures will be there.

Use it don’t use it all I am saying GW2 will be dead faster than you were able to create it if you the Dev team don’t try something new.

So what I got from this was:

  • Player generated skins – i’d be up for this.
  • Having dungeon gear better than anything that you can get out in the open world – I’m against this. People shouldn’t be forced to run content to max their character out. Anet also feel this way, given how they’re introducing Ascended gear into the open world.
  • Larger group content – Strengthen the open world. There’s your group content. That being said, I haven’t got anything against it in particular.

The alternative is to be forced to run content just for cosmetic upgrades, which has far less incentive. I have 6 L80’s and need to do about 5 more explore runs to have every character looking where I want them. What then? Sure, there are “better” looking weapons but I’m not grinding dungeons (or God forbid fractals) endlessly for them.

Karma is virtually worthless now. Once you get your crafting skills to 400 they’re pretty much worthless. Events get boring after awhile, but even then the vast majority of zones are devoid of players and a lot events are never triggered.

I’m not sure “Dress Up Barbie” and meaningless “achievements” is a solid, long term content model.

Not on it’s own, no.

But they’ve brought vertical progression into the game. They’ve just made it so that dungeons and instances aren’t the only way of getting that gear.

As for meaningless achievements, the meaning of them is up to the player. For example, you may believe that getting Master Crafter is meaningless, but to someone else who enjoys crafting it could be meaningful.
