The current system with tools and nodes of different level is so cumbersome and annoying, Please change it to be more streamlined and less annoying.

I know that the tools are a money sink and I am fine with that.. but redo the system so you buy only 1 tool in each category and then you pay a small amount when you USE it depending on WHAT you use it for (so you pay less for mining copper then you do for mining gold)
If you want to keep the system where I have to stop having fun and go back to town to get new tools because the ones I had went puff then so be it.. but please atleast change this part of the system to something that does not make me want to just skip gathering alltogether.

If you don’t want to change the system then PLEASE atleast change the icon to show me when I am using the wrong tool, so I can go into my hero screen and start reading all those funky names there to find out what sickle I need to use
(how could you make such a stupid system?)

PS. please remove the options button in the inventory and just have the 3 things from the options menu as buttons instead.. no need for a menu when you have plenty of room to have buttons right there where the options button is.

PPS. in control options under miscellaneous please have “show enemy names” as a toggle (I use it to find plants and nodes and I would really love to just have it ON the whole time)

PPPS. 2012 and crafting is still not instant? we still have to sit and wait for a bar to crawl? yes I know it speeds up when you make many of the same item (and how ofter do you do that?) but that is only a step in the right direction.. make it instant!!

yeah okay so maybe I got a bit carried away with suggestions, sorry about that..
now get to work!

Hum… A bit complex… I would just add an option that you can mine more lower grade materials before a pick breaks.

For example. a grade 6 pick mining a grade 6 mine, has a 100% chance to break. That’s how it is now, and it is fine.

But if we were to use a grade 6 pick on a grade 5 mine, it should have an 85% chance to break. 60% for grade 4 mats, etc. Even when mining grade 1, you still have a 15% chance to break it.

Something like that would be fine for me.

I’d just make it an item with durability that gets repaired by the repairer.

I only used the word fun because Anet has stated that it is their mantra, I could also have asked for them to make it less annoying if that serves better?
