Instead of Soulbound make them account bound and give us the ability to sell them back to the merchant.

Why?
If you buy the wrong tool then you could give it to another character or sell it back to the merchant for a small loss.

I really see no reason for these to be soulbound and not account bound. It’s not like we can’t transfer gold from one character to another, I do play longer on a character if I bought the wrong gathering tools (untill those tools are used up).

Account bound gathering tools sounds good to me!

My guess is they put them as character bound because they are going to sell some via the in-game store…it seems like anything they want to make money off of in there they put as character bound.

I vote for this.
At the very least switch from soul to account bound so I can send all the copper tools my high level toon has to my low level alts.
I’d be even happier if tools didn’t drop from bags of loot too… I’ve way more than I’ll ever use on all my toons put together, it’s like a wasted reward since they are bound to character and not sell-able to the merchants.

Definitely make them account bound and re-stackable back to their original max. If I have 4 copper pickaxes from one toon, and 10 on another, it’d be great to able to pass them along as 14 pickaxes to a lower level alt.
