Hi!

In my opinion it would be better if gathering tools were account bound instead of soulbound to one character. This way they will still be untradeable, but at least we won’t have to destroy loads of looted lower tier gathering tools because they are pretty useless to your character. Then we could just use them on lower lvl characters. Other option would be to let us sell them at merchants for coin.

yes – its a little annoying having soulbound crafting tools, don’t see why they aren’t account bound either. In general soul bound items in GW2 are annoying and don’t fit well with a game where the bank storage is shared over all your toons: “this item is soulbound to another character” … yeah but which one.

Yeah, I don’t understand why they felt the need to make all tools soundbound on acquire instead of at least account bound – it seems needlessly restrictive.

It’s especially frustrating when you get them from random lootbags while exploring a low level area on a high level character – those tools would so much more useful if only I could pass them down to a low level alt, but since they’re soulbound and can’t be sold, I usually just end up deleting them, since my high level character can’t carry around 10 different types of tools all the time just in case I might be passing through a lower level area again. :/

Exactly my point. You just end up deleting loot because it’s just not doable to carry all those different tiers of gathering tools with you on your character.
