Have for a long time wondered about Anets descisions about the gemstore, it barely has any skins, also the few skins it has is town clothes, theres no real reasons for town clothes since they can only be used for afk-ing in town. The only really good things we got out of the gemstore is the few (3) armor skins, the backpacks as well as general customization services that should been in the game from the start in my opinion.
So I suggest that Anet should put stuff in the store that people actually want to buy and will be able to use (!in combat!) beacuse its gotten really silly, like: “hey there r bunny ears on sale for easter…. oh its town clothes i cant use them for more than afking”. If they would actually put more stuff like armor skins in gemstore people would probably buy which would result in more money for Anet which also would result in making more content like patches etc. Take the Quaggan backpack for example, it was cool it was useable (even in combat) and now everyone has one.
