Here are some suggestions I have for the game as a guild leader.

I don’t expect everyone to like my suggestions, and I admit some of them are silly – but most are truly desired.

+We need to have a larger space for “Message of the Day”
-The current size just is not cutting it, every single time I change the message of the day I find myself with way too little space.

+We need a better way to keep track of who is who because it is hard to keep track of account and character names. I am finding it extremely difficult to remember people now that my guild is progressing into the 100’s of people when I have to remember more than just their character name.. (I actually made an Excel spreadsheet that listed members and their alts..)
-One way to do this might be a note system, where you can place personal notes about each person.

+We need a stat on the guild page showing the date when that person joined the guild. And also how long since they have been online last. Another stat that would help would be to show how long since they last represented.

+We need some kind of Officer’s chat so that we can talk to each other about the administration of the guild without having to make a party.

+BIG ITEM – Please!! Separate the “Admin lower ranks” into 2 different things, we need this to be 2 different powers, one to invite people, the other to admin lower ranks. I would love to appoint people to have the ability to invite, but would not like for them to have that much power over the other people in the guild.

+This one is kind of out there, but if we could have an easier way of grouping together.
-One way of doing this would be so that certain ranks can make “Events” and once made it will show up in the guild window and people can join them which puts them into a party or reserve list if the party is full.

+Changing the Guild Banners to better display who the guild is that is providing the buff, currently it only shows the small 1-4 letter abbreviation of the guild next to it.
-Maybe make it so that the whole guild name is listed, when the dialog box opens it would be nice if it also included the full guild name this way your guild is being promoted by placing the banner, which makes it worth researching for.

+This is a feature that probably would not work out, but would be cool none the less! But to be able to toggle on the minimap the locations of the currently online guild members.

+This is not entirely related to a guild matter, but I find it to be a nuisance not to have – The ability to check the stats of people, a kind of search option (I really really hate to say it this way, but like a /who from WoW)
-This would be beneficial to everyone, especially someone who is curious about joining a guild, they could just /who <guild name> and see if they are active and whatnot as well as anyone that just needs to know more information about someone.
-A cool thing that would go well with this “/who” option would be a box of things that shows, for example a link to the nearest waypoint for that person, as well as typical stats such as level and type of character.

+When guild-wide buffs are being applied, it would be nice if everyone had a notification somewhere on their screen letting them know.
- perhaps where the normal buffs/debuffs are, or maybe above the F1-3 skills are.

+Another idea that might just be the workings of my silly mind – But it would be cool to have a small guild-wide auction function.
-When items are placed on auction you have an option to keep money made, or have it go into the guild bank.
-This could be implemented as another tab option on the Trading Post, just for within the guild.

+Having a window on the main guild page that is reserved to list people that contribute to the guild.
-For example, it can either automatically, or manually list the top 5 or 10 people that contribute most to the guild.
-Automatically by listing the amount of purchasing of influence. (Or maybe a second window displaying this as (top 5 influence contributors)
-Manually would be preferable because the game can’t keep track who is actively promoting the guild and guild activities as well as helping other people in the guild
- it would be nice to recognize these people so they feel like they are accomplishing something as part of the guild.

Please post any suggestions that you may have as well! I only came up with this list in about 20 minutes and I would like to see other ideas as well.

Very good post. I would also like to see more emblems to choose from.

I would love to be able to make my own guild banner, paint it in a painting software and then upload! Of course this would require a GM to look at it and the approve of it before it is taken into use. This way we can get a much wider variety of banners, and not to many look a likes!

the ability to have notification of guild members logging in, IN guild chat, NOT in system chat, as they log in, would be an excellent resource. my fiancee, our gm, ended up putting every single guildie on his friends list, then turning system chat ON on his main tab, just so he could effectively greet people as they log in. guild leaders, in my experience, LIKE being able to greet people, say hi, and just generally have an idea of who’s on without having to constantly check the guild roster.
