General talk about Guild Wars and ideas
5. Living stories:
-So far i really liked them, each was unique and amazing in some way. Also the idea of adding new content is really cool and adds to Guild Wars endgame contest other than PvP (WvW,Spvp) or grinding for legendary. However there is one big “but”. One part of succes of all the events is they were not just fun and creative but new. If you look at WoWs Halloween event it was fun first year. second i done it again if i was missing achievments or needed loot, but next years unless i wanted some drop i was just ignoring it. So there is importance for there events that have been used already at least once to bring something new. No need to create whole new events or spend hours with new things. I give an example. Mads king tower-for me the best jumping puzzle in game took me lot of hours to finish, i hated when failing again and again but loved once finished (im sure i wasnt the only one). So now you climb on top of tower vertically from bottom to top. My idea is create second tower all the same (maybe some of the platforms would need move abit) but rather then tower staying normály put it horizontaly so the tower lies on hers side. The tower would rotate around it self will all the slime and you couldnt fall into it or touch the building itself.
Another important about regular update is dont fall your principes just to release it. Dont put unfinished event. Next keep what have been said in manifesto that the graphic is handracted. Dont just také cavern you have had before adding parts what we have seen already with the only difference with their position.
6. Player versus Player:
-I dont play spvp, did it at start but stopped. Personally i dont really like the idea of 1 principe for all the maps (3capture points,10players,trebuchets). In GW1 there were more possibilities to choose from. Also another issue i had was while was queuing to find match quickest way i ended in most of my games playing 1v1 max 2v2 which kinda breaks the epic experience.
-WvW – Really epic loving it, only issue is without good commander its just chaos and not fun.
7. Auction House(AH) (i will never rememeber the name of it, i only remember the cute sleeping quaggan when its down
):
-The idea of crossrealm trading is awesome as it balance prices and reduce the chances 1player will control it, put insance prices and earn lot of gold while other suffers from it.
-Gold for gems and opposite- tbh this is shows how awesome Arenat as company is, its really nice that you allow players still buy items for gems without using reall money as long as they have enough gold in game.
-The armor skins designs. So far they were nice. But personally i would say this-put armor ingame and clothes to AH. I have sylvari female mesmeer and human elementalist. I would really love to wear the human towns clothes the citiziens wear (noble) and for my slyvari im sure many others would kill to have the Pale trees dress. There is lot of possibilities to go this way.
-Another thing is there should be more raicial skins, for example the aetherrized armor or the winter clothes all feels designed for hummans and for my sylvari i would prefer more leafs clothes (like cultural amor, TA set).
8. Housing:
I know it isnt in game and probably will never be but so many players like it in general so its worth mentioning.
-Make use of housing- it cant be just place what create/buy at start and ends with it, add free teleport, AH or merchants, bank to make use of it more than just for look.
-Profession furniture making -it was really nicely done in Everquest 2 and as you have already collecting wood ingame shouldnt be so big issue. Its good have lot of furniture where you can create your own dream house, however for those who dont have so big fantasy as me there should be premade interier like it was in Skyrim
-Make it aviable for everyone-dont put base house for 1g and the best for 1000g, housing is cool feature and everyone wants be creative would be waste put it available only few choosen gold farmers
-Make it instanced- so you can create house of your own and predesigned, make every instance with some code so best house can be rated and visited for small fee for the creater (i wouldnt mind paying 10silver to see awesome house
There are different levels of houses:
a.) 1-2rooms 1design-pointless not even worth adding to game
b-) 3-5rooms 1design-not so bad but still poor
c.) big house with different architecture for each race-this where it starts getting worthy to be added to game
d.) Rather than precreated house you have different buildings from Guild Wars that you can combine to create your own dream house (tbh i really love the watterfall bath that Cait has)- you had this in Skyrim where you could choose which part of building you want and how it will look.
e.) extreme-create your own castle with merchants walls and all the fun staff.
9. Gear:
-In Guild .wars 2 you collect armor for look rather then endlessy farm raids for the increased stats. I personally like the idea however as WoW keeps coming with new raids that has better items with better stats, GW need come with new design to keeping the desing of having something before you achieve. Atm i have my lovely TA set already for months, so i would love get something new with similar leaf design
10. Classes:
-Holy trinity gone- personally i dont have any isssues with this however i really miss my monk healer from GW1, even it was looking at the bars rather than enviroment it was fun to play
-Only class i will talk about (bit of QQ here
) is thief, i dont mind that he defeats me 1v1(my mesmer) many classes do when well played, but thing i hate is he hits me 1/3 of my health goes invisible repeats this three or four times and i die before i even target him.
11. Ending:
Guild wars 2 is really awesome game, for me all the other MMOs old or the new coming ones feels like from previous century. Keep the good work, dont fall alseep, create new things dont just copy old. Good luck.
