There’s so many waypoints in this game that are contested, which means you either have to do the event at what ever camp is contested or wait for god knows how long before the event even starts to try take it back just to be able to teleport there again, problem is…when you take it back there will be what? 30 mins or something on average before it gets contested again and you won’t even need it in that time? so what happens because of that? well, no one really bothers to do it simply because you gain nothing at all from it.

So what we have is basically a contested waypoint for ever, most waypoints at Orr tend to be contested as well, there will be the odd occasion where it’s not contested randomly from someone finishing their grind to 80 or when a raid of people actually bother to take a temple, but excluding those…this stuff is just insanely annoying, especially at orr when all you want to do is just get from point A to point B and then get out of there again, instead you have to run through the broken mobs of orr with the horrible terrain on the side.

Please Anet, either get rid of PvE contested waypoints or give us a REAL incentive to do them, as why would you bother doing an event when it benefits you more to just pass by them?

Well contesting them is a motivation to free them in order to move faster around the map, but they should stay free for more than 20 minutes before the next event pops up, or it gets annoying too easily.

Yeah I get the point of moving faster, what I’,m getting at is generally you’re not in an area too long to really be able to use the point you just uncontested, then before you know it anyway it’s back to being contested again, I get that it’s a source of exp for lower levels (even though there’s more than enough ways to get exp on this game) but with the way it is atm there’s just no proper incentive to do it.
