Why would anyone care if they would see a level 2 character wielding a super cool looking weapon wearing a super cool max armor as long as they don’t have the respective stats?
You could just add a code to the game that raises or lowers the weapon/armor starts based on your actual level so you can wield/wear them at anytime
As it is implemented now in the game, you can only buy form a Trade Post a cull looking weapon and than transmute its stats to a low level weapon, which you need to transmute again and again with every better weapon you find.
It feels like a rip of.
GW1 had this feature and no one cared about.

If your suggestion were implemented people would pre-purchase the max-level exotic gear for a new character and use that all the way through to 80, allowing the character to save a pretty large amount of resources by never buying new stuff, meaning that it would put every new player at a disadvantage until they can reach 80 and afford new gear.

OMG, the new players were so disadvantaged by this mechanic in GW1, They all HAD the need to have destroyer, tormented and oppressor weapons. They were so frustrated they didnt have enough golds to buy them that the game is still active after 7 years and even now when GW2 is out. GW1 was and is different than any game out there. GW2 isn’t. What a shame!

Taking out wp cost… Take out ite level req… What is next? Free gold every 10 min? Auto level 80 character? Free pizza when you complete an event?

That free pizza thing was hilarious I would also add: free exp while offline, lvl 80 character buy able in cash shop.

We are not in stone age anymore where people were doing everything by themselves.
Nowadays who wants to cook the food, can do that, who doesn’t, just orders it
Who wants to go by foot, can do it, who doesn’t, can use the public transport. etc.

The gamer generation is evolving. like the real life does
