I made this suggestion before in a response to a question about minions. Necromancers really need a way to help their minions out. But this can be fleshed out into a more general enhancement of the class.

Give Necros a F2 ability based on the type of ability in their first utility slot. This is kind of like Engineer’s Toolkit skills, but designed to help the style of Necromancer play that skill represents. I’m drawing my ideas from old Necromancer abilities here.

Minion Skill – Blood of the Master. Heal all minions controlled by the Necromancer for some amount, and have the Necromancer lose some life for each minion healed (similar to the old GW1 system). That way you can keep your minion army, but only for a while against any heavy damage.

Corruption Skill – Necrosis. Deal direct damage to target based on the number of conditions they have (0 if they have none). Would give condition builds some spike potential.

Well Skill – I’m not sure. Wells have a lot of tactical use. Maybe an updated Well of Weariness. Pulses cause Weakness to foes and Vigor on allies. Would be useful in boss fights.

Spectral skill – Spectral skills are about surviving. Again, I’m not sure.

Signet skill – Not sure here either.

A second way to spend Life Force would be nice. I’d prefer something like Jagged Bones over the ability to heal minions though.
