Glory into gold
That’s just going to flood the in game economy with gold…
I think there should be a Glory><Gems market just like the Gold><Gems market
but you’d need to make glory actually worth something.
Just so no body gets the wrong idea, Im not talking like 1000glory=1g, Im talking about something SO minor just to make everyone who feels like time spent in pvp hurts your development in PVE like they arent losing cash. Cause really thats why no one spends time in pvp when they pve or vice versa, theres no crossover and doing one for too long hurts the other.
Make glory exchangeable for SOMETHING, bags were a nice start

I dunno, I kinda like that pve and pvp is totally seperate, I don’t feel like I’m losing gold in PVP because… gold is useless to me.
They need to make the glory system actually work as a rewards system…
Right now I’m sitting on 130k glory and there’s nothing to do with it.

You need gold to buy dyes (if you care about that).
Understand that you can actually spend glory to get expensive dyes and sell them.
I dunno.. so.. if you want the most expensive dyes it’s like 20 gold for the lot, that’s like a day of farming, maybe less… if you really care.. I got like 6 rare dyes now from tourny chests.

yeah nothing. except that some ppl not only play sPvP and in compare to only pve player we are on loosing ground. they got better equipment and so on.. the same goes for wvw..
so if u want to do some wvw with ur char who is maybe lvl 80 u are not competitive cause u hasnt spend xxxxxxxxx hours farming dungeons or fractals to get exo-gear or if u decide to craft it u cant afford the mats…
in sPvP there is not gold needed but the game consists of more than sPvP and it shot not throw a line between the parts regarding loots or rewards..
there is no reason spvp shoudlnt get u overworld benefits. Improved reward spvp system would bring in more casuals, which eventually leads to more teams/players, so even hardcore spvp only ppl should want it.
Even when I don’t know what the need for gold is, i agree with daydream. It’s a pretty good chance to get new ppl into pvp. What I liked was the chest from HoH in GW1. The drops had some rare items which you could sell, and not only salvage the same stuff everyday over and over.

people buy high rank chests? just buy low rank chests, salvage everything and then craft whatever gear you want with tons of glory left over to wait for another 10 ranks.

You might have a better chance for the other items Gloryboosters/Stomps/Dyes
You might not… I wish there was a comprehensive test on this but from what I have seen is you get a lot less rare/sliver items to complete your collection and salvage.
So, for me collecting things is one of my motivations for spvp I like having stuff I don’t want (lol?)
I buy 20 chests every 10 ranks just for the good feels… maybe i should buy 100 copper chests instead..
I could take a crack at the math based on some wild assumptions;
200 per chest is 20k Glory for 100 chests, assuming you get
10 rares(10% drop rate* Up to 3 Slivers per item and 1/9 chance to get)
20 uncommons(
20% Drop rate* Up to 3 Crystals per item and 1/6 chance to get)
400 Commons(@3-5 per chest, Up to 3 Orbs per Item, and 1/3 chance to get)
Maybe ~3 slivers ~10 crystals ~400 orbs in 100 chests if you salvage everything.
That’s like 28 Salvage kits at 200 per and 16+~ converters at 1k per for the orbs if you actually want to get some decent sliver numbers.
Whereas 20 chests is 20 rares 40 uncommons 40 Commons
6 slivers 20 crystals 40 orbs
5 salvage kits and really 2 converters max.
Again this math is shoddy at best and taken mostly from playing and salvaging a lot of tournament chests the last time I actually did do a 20 copper chest salvage run I got one rare so the math is VERY inflated.
