It takes a fair amount of time investment to get 100% world completion. I have an open suggestion that I believe makes the desire to get 100% world completion even more appealing.

Specifically I believe that the ability to travel between any way point in any zone(not just city hubs), fee of charge, should be rewarded to those who make the effort to get this achievement.

I personally feel that I reap no real benefit at the moment, and I believe something like this would really make it worth while.(Partly anyway)

Interested to know what other people think.(This also may have been brought up before)

That’s over the top. You’re basically saying “let the rich get richer while the poor get poorer”. The waypoint system is a money sink for a reason.

World completion can be done by the poorest of the poor. I don’t see how that’s a valid point.

I see it as a motivator to actually achieve, if your the causal player who care’s little for such things, then so be it.

Aside from that, I doubt i’d even mention this if I was loaded with gold.

It’s a Gold-Sink that’s been implemented to prevent gold inflation. It’s one of those ‘necessary evils’ to prevent your gold from becoming worthless for as long as possible. The best implementation I’ve ever heard is free Way Point to LA (since we technically can already) or your character’s Racial City. Other than that, this isn’t going away anytime soon. So if you’re looking to save money traveling… well… better tighten your bootstraps mate.

Oh yes that would be both reasonable and awesome to not have to go to wvw first to tp to lions arch. I begrudingly accept that wp costs may be a necessary gold sink but since we can do it already with just going through a couple of loading screens I don’t see the harm, perhaps it could be done in the form of an item like the one that takes you to hall of monuments
