Guild Wars 2

I recently started playing a ranger, and to my profound disappointment, found that eagle griffons, Owl Griffons and Rock dogs weren’t tamable.. Considering (in my opinion) that these three animals make up a large chunk of the best looking beasts in the game..This struck me as odd. So I decided to suggest making these avialable, the specifics (such as pet class and unique ability) I leave to those more capable than I. (The devs)

Heck, I want my Flaming Hound of Balthazar from Guild Wars 1 back for that matter. :-) However, a griffon and/or rock dog would be cool. They could take away a couple of the moas and give the skills to them. ^^

Well, human rangers get to have those from a skill, at the very least! A nice way to do larger, cooler pets, I think, would to make ‘em part of a ranger characters personal story, that way, if you want all of them, you’d have to help out other rangers to get the story branch!

I don’t know if there’s any real need to take away pets to add more… would it cause problems just to increase the maximum total?

But yeah, I’d also like to see this eventually. They don’t seem like they’d be inherently unbalanced.

Only problem I could forsee would be the size of Griffons, but then, Drakes are large than them, if I recall right.

Superior rune of the ogre lets you have a rock dog pet and you don’t even need to be a Ranger.

If they made quest exclusive pets that would be awesome! Aside from looking bad—- and a different pet skill they don’t gata be any stronger than other pets in their category (cond dmg, direct dmg, toughness, vitality, etc).
