Since I play a staff necro, I obviously have to use a lot of AoEs. The quick-cast function really helps, but given that the combat in GW2 is much more mobile than in most other MMOs, most players probably have their right mouse button constantly pressed. That means that casting AoEs can sometimes be a bit bothersome, since you either have to let go of the right mouse button first before casting or remember where you left the cursor before you pressed the button.

Since ground-casting while mouse steering pretty much already works, all you’d have to do is add an option to have a small dot or something remain where you left the cursor. It’s a small addition, but a huge convenience.

Also, the options to toggle mouse steering and perhaps targeting while mouse steering would synergise with the aforementioned. And as a sort of unrelated note, please disable friendly targeting while in combat.

Nice improvement would be if you have a guy targeted, the aoe should be centered on that target… Travel time does not make adjustments so you would still kinda miss on moving targets if you didn’t lead it.

That wouldn’t really fix the anything, as you would only be able to cast directly on targets. You’d have to un-target the target before casting anywhere else, which would be incredibly cumbersome.

Hold tab (or any hot key if you like, maybe even holding the skill down) then to Center aoe on target? If you don’t hold tab it behaves normally
