Guild Wars 2

The current animation is a mini shield like icon on the left arm. Looks good but not when it covers a nice actual shield skin.

For example I have the awesome super shield skin but I can’t see the centre because the aegis skin overlaps it. So please remove the animation, it serves no purpose.

It does serve a purpose; it informs anyone that looks at your character that you have Aegis up.

This may not seem like a big deal to you, but in a competitive setting, it matters, and when I’m running dungeons, it is a clue to me that indicates whether or not the person about to take a cave troll to the face can take the hit.

A lot of people ignore visual clues, but this doesn’t make them valueless.
