Its been some time since ive seen any comments surrounding this topic. What is the deal Anet? why does guardians have to be the only class with useless PvP ranged ability? Thats not to say that i think we don’t loose DPS in PvE fights, not at all. If the mob or player moves even a little bit in the about 2 seconds it takes the orbs to reach them at max distance, they have mitigated ALL the damage from the guardians autoattack. Please Anet, fix this. Please make the orbs faster. Guardians really need some raged capability in situations were melee isn’t possible. Like in WvWvW when attacking fortifications or in phases of different bossfights where standing in melee simply is suicide.

It is faster but mobility plays a large role here. Against a Ranger using a longbow at under 500 range and both the Ranger and the Guardian spamming the number one button the Ranger will invariably win. At that range the Guardian should be doing more damage (394 versus 302) but such is not the case as the arrows will hit more often then the orb due to the higher mobility of the Ranger versus the Guardian. Chains of Light or scepter 3 would help this issue but more often then not mobs and enemies just continue moving when “Chains” is applied.

Maybee I didnt make myself clear, its still to slow IMO. And it wouldn’t hurt you to put in some numbers when you answer in forums. Instead of answering with an obvious downward tone. Not very helpful.

True, if u don’t account for the pet who most likely will do more dmg than 92 right? I’m not complaining about the different kit each class possesses though, i just think that the Scepter #1 is almost useless with the orb speed they have given it now, ofc some mitigation of dmg is to be expected, that’s just a thing guardians need to figure into their play style. Its just that as it is right now, the orbs are WAY to easy to handle for an opponent with more than 10 hours experience in GW2. IMO ofc!
