Okay, taking a look at the guardian staff skills, they seem pretty simple… is there any way you (Anet) could fix these?

1. Wave of Wrath: Send out a powerful shockwave, hitting up to five foes.

This seems alright, could there also be some sort of healing attached to this though? If a player has at least 3000 attack they hit on average 500 damage. Is it possible for you guys to add something else to this? Possibly a chain attack or a cone heal? Possibly increase of damage and hitting up to 10 players? Skill 1 needs a bit more touches.

2. Orb of Light: Fire a moving orb of light that heal allies on contact; can be detonated to heal allies. Detonate the orb to heal nearby allies. Orb of Light takes four times longer to recharge.

This skill is too plain in my opinion… Staff range isn’t too far, but this skill can fly off into the sunset and heal anything it touches… In WvW this skill is kind of useless. It doesn’t heal for much and majority of the time it doesn’t touch anyone. Could you change this into a possible heal skill? Maybe a PBAOE heal that will heal nearby allies for 4000. it could have a 30-40 second CD and be switched into slot 5.

3. Symbol of Swiftness: Sear a mystic symbol into the target area, damaging foes and granting swiftness to allies.

It sounds like something great, but in all honesty it really isn’t. Could you guys increase the swiftness time on this? It’s called the symbol of swiftness shouldn’t it have extra speed duration? (lol) I’m thinking 20s of swiftness maybe?

4. Empower: Channel might to yourself and allies around you. Heal nearby allies when it ends.

Excellent addition to the staff! All I can ask for this is could you add “mini heals” along with the might stack? so it’ll give off a bit more healing? If not that’s fine, but nonetheless… great skill.

5. Line of Warding: Create a line in front of you that foes cannot cross.

I love this skill. I wish it could last 2-3 seconds longer though.

1. A heal component would be nice… not to sure about the increased targets though… (although I would argue that it should hit up to 5 enemies & 5 allies for a total of 10 potential targets)

2. No… not a PBAoE… you want a ranged heal… granted this is a very unreliable ranged heal… I’d say change it to a GTAoE-HoT (Ground Target Area of Effect Heal over Time)

3. I know it’s Symbol of Swiftness… but perhaps grant Quickness to allies in addition to swiftness…

4. Wait…. it doesn’t mini-heal?!!!! FIX IT!!!! Give it mini-heals during cast!!!

5. Longer would be nice… maybe grant Protection to allies that cross it as well?

Please stop assuming I’m a guy… I am female.

am a guardian player btw

1 the wave is good as is. its 5 targets at range for decent damage. once the enemy closes to melee range swap weapons to something melee. your suggestion would be massively imbalanced, there would be no reason to use anything but a staff in wvw.

2 try not detonating the orb. you can actually fire them fairly fast, unless you really need the heal(usually a boss fight easier stationary target to heal allies) you might as well throw more orbs and any incidental heals is bonus. i could stand to see the orb sped up a bit more. the last boost was good but you can still almost out run it with speed buffs. maybe another 10 or 15% faster would be great

3 it would just be great if this could stack. but due to the way it works that would mean standing in it would let you soak up several stacks of speed. otherwise this is fine as is.

4 would like to see empower gain a break this channel for this ability mechanic added to it, much like a riposte. maybe a defensive varient. change the remaining pusles to protections with the same heal at the end.

5 love the line, would love to see it a hold to power up ability. the longer you can charge it the longer it would last. either that or make it unblockable. the evades/stability walk overs suck. if it goes to power up, please have it hold in the pose before the ground strike part of the whole’ you shall not pass’ wind up
