This thread is meant to give some input and not intended for discussions. Everybody might add suggestions relating the guardian.

Weapon Skills:
Staff Suggestions:
Wave on Wrath: Change so you hit 3 targets @ 900 range maybe keep hit 5 targets @ 600 range.

Greatsword Suggestions:
Strike, wengefule srike, wrathful strike: Change from one stack might to maybe 3 or 5, or add fury

Whirling Wrath: Add 2 Sec fury, or add 2 sec stability, increase range to 900, maybe homing projectils

Leap of faith: change range to 900

Symbol of wrath: lower cooldown maybe 15 sec or increase damage.

Blinding blade/pull: change range to 900

Trident:
Light of judgement: Add fury, increase damage, add 3 or 5 stacks might, remove that little heal

Sorry, but threads are meant for discussion, and I strongly disagree with these suggestions. You’re asking for across-the-board damage buffs. Guardians are alright as-is right now.

GS can already pump out good damage, it does not need a damage buff. It’s a melee weapon, which means a range of 600 or less for all skills is reasonable. Even dedicated caster professions are limited to a range of 600 or less on melee weapon skills. There’s no reason a mixed caster/fighter should get MORE range than other dedicated caster professions.

Staff is not a pure offensive weapon, it’s more support oriented, so if anything, it would need to get different boons instead of more damage.

Really? Add fury, and more damage, AND 3-5 stacks of might while only sacrificing a minuscule heal? What are you, nuts?

My suggestion for guardians is to fix any remaining bugs with the class and leave them as they are.

lol. You don’t get to decide whether or not a post is up for discussion.

The act of posting indisputably implies that you agree to allowing discussion of what you posted.

And it is very important that we discuss suggestions because that gives ANet a better idea of what players want (even if forums only make up a small % of the playerbase – Cause they take that into account too)

I have to say, your staff-idea is bupkis. You don’t remedy the poor single-target damage at all, and make no mention of reducing the angle of the AoE – Is it just going to keep shooting at that 90-degree wide range up to 900 distance? That would ridiculous!
I would personally just change the auto-attack altogether. Maybe make it a cone attack like flamethrower. Only it’d be a light so maybe it would daze enemies or heal allies on the final hit or something.

Greatsword doesn’t need any of the suggestions you made. Those are all just buffs, some even kind of outrageous.
The only thing GS might need is for Whirling Wrath’s projectiles to be more reliable and less random, because any one whose tried it knows it’s pretty easy to aggro mobs you didn’t intend to hit.

Trident – The buff you ask for is ridiculous. It’s confounding that you’d ask for it.
An attack that constantly heals you is an amazing auto-attack already. Frankly, it’s one of the better underwater attack skills in my books.
