Guesting limits

Guesting is not the issue on high population servers for the overflow, the high population and the allure of the new drop rates of event chests are. Guesting allows a small number to be added to the huge numbers from the server already there to be added. On a server such as TC for example, there where plenty of times you would be in overflow on any sort of map due to high population, before guesting. Simply making it so you can only get the event chests on your home server is fine and will remove some people from joining other servers for only that reason but it will not stop the lag or overflow ‘issue’, which btw is only an issue due to people using the timer system to find out exactly where and when to go.
I agree with Onshidesigns. Every major event I do since the chest change I see more players guesting on my server at these events than players from my server. Even worse when I tell my guild about the events they get sent into overflow because of the 50+ guests i see.
Just limit the amount of guests per server, if there are more that want to join just make them wait in a Queue or something.
Anet kitten seriously fix this! its breaking the game! Prices on ecto’s are destroyed because of this, ppl lagg so much on their own server they sometimes even miss the whole event all together!!

How about just disabling chests for guests all together? That way, people would only guest to play with their friends or farm ores, which should keep most of them out of chest event maps save maybe jormag.
I would love to guest to other continent servers.
