Guild Wars 2

I have a friend who’s playing on the European servers and I’m on the American ones. I tried to guest with her, on the Europe servers but I couldn’t and I saw that I need to pay if I want to transfer myself, to play there. I’m reluctant because I have a guild. I wanted to know if there was a a specific reason, localization or programming or anything else and also if the people of Guild Wars 2 are planning to do something about it or not.

If somebody already posted this question, could you post the link so I don’t take too much space?

It has something to do with not being able to move characters guesting to different data centers during guesting.
