All guild banners can be used by everyone, regardless of guild and come with that note that says ‘courtesy of our guild’ or something along those lines. Id personally like to see what guild is giving me these banners without relying on knowing every single guild logo on the current server.

For those dropping the banner it would be an advertisement to the everyone using it that their guild is one willing to spend influence points to drop banners for everyone to use. It is also an advertisement that they have enough influence (and usually therefore active members) to spend on banners and such, thus creating more potential guild members.

This isnt a huge plus point as it stands because banners are quite cheap but in the future im fully expecting more guild upgrades to arrive and so banners of all kinds might start costing a lot more influence. Advertisement could become a great way to add to the justification of dropping a banner that costs a lot of influence.
