Guild Wars 2

In Guild Wars 1, guild capes were a great way to represent and honor your guild. They also looked kinda sexy, depending on the designer lol. So I’m suggesting to bring guild capes back, it’s also something original from GW.

I think capes will look kinda out of place.. They will wiggle all over the place, they will hamper when fighting, weapons will “clip” right through them.. This will look just awful.

How about tabards instead?

We will still represent our guild and have no wiggling-waggling garments on us.
Or some kind of signets maybe? Or even better – custom guild armor and weapon with symbolics. Or just specific elements of armor – not whole set – with a symbol of the guild.
Like a pauldron with a symbol. Or a shield, or helmet.. Just putting it over your favorite armor set. That would look great I think.

I like the wiggle lol, tabards I don’t like. Just something that makes it easy to say two guys are from the same guild without looking at the guild tag.

As a guardian having a book or quiver doesn’t really look that great :p – nor does a backpack :p

I’d really love to have some sort of cloak.

Guild town clothes?

Guild town clothes sound pretty good, ye!

Guild Town clothing sounds awesome…

The guild backpack is nice, but for some of us clipping isn’t as big an issue as it is for others – and capes are just kittening awesome.

It would be nice to have tabards,or something like that.
Mounts also so we can move faster,like
Horses
Some creatures etc. Ppl like that.

There is already Guild Armors, Guild weapons, and Guild banners. And you want capes or tabards on top of what is giving already?

I would like to see guild capes come back, maybe as a back slot item that can be crafted and then just do what you do with Armour by having the guild emblem/ design placed on top of the cape.

Something like:
Leather Worker- Cape recipe
Mystic forge recipe for rarities from common-ascended level
Take it to Guild Designer to have the design placed on it.
Equip it as a back slot item and rep your guild.

I’m fond of the idea of bringing guild capes back. Or if not capes, then another free accessory or symbol type thing we can wear to show off our guild pride.
I like the capes over tabbards idea though because flowing garments are much more fun. ^^

Yes, I agree. Guild logos should definitely be more common, the guild armor doesn’t quite cut it for me. Capes and Guild Halls were 2 of the many defining points of guilds and communities in the first game, they bring a sense of unity to it. I don’t care whether we’re given capes or tabards, as long as there is something that shows we belong to a guild.
