Guild Wars 2

HI all,

I searched in this forum using “guild hall” but I see here’s no tread about it.
It’s strange cause alot of MMORPG (even GW) have the wonderfull feature of let guilds manage, create, build, upgrade a 3d-guild hall (some MMORPG allow guild to put it in the worlds too, but it’s a little bit invasive) so why not GW2?

Ok: here’s upgrades in the guild panel but it’s not the same appeal as to see a guild hall grow up, become larger, acquiring new structures etc. The guilds are the core of every mmorpg and we need to let them to be more comfortable, have something that a single-player can’t have (and this not mean to give bonus, but even a cape without bonus). I think that the best way to tempt players to enter/form a guild is to introduce something that is merely a visual bonus: a well-looking armor (not like now that you pay alot of gold to have an armor with a bad look), capes, hats (?), banners/flag that can be put on the field, a guild hall (where the guild members can invite other people) etc.

Obviously another thing that can be done with guild halls is the GvsG. One of the best mode to play (no: spvp it’s not the same)!

I am hoping to see Guild Halls in future releases or patches, its another tradition they should have carried over from GW1 to GW2. Similar to the missing Collector Edition dances. It was a tradition worth keeping.

I remember way back before the betas they said guild halls would be more like guild towns. where a guild would get an instanced town and each member would have a house. but this was WAY back.

I actually have been thinking for a while that Guild Airships would make alot of sense. In GW1 you could access guild hall from anywhere. Having access to an airship from anywhere makes more sense since it travels. Maybe charge a set 1s teleport fee for “fuel” and have it only teleport you back to previous location, like the HoM orb. Gives a benefit to having a guild when you are in places like arah and dont want to spend over 3s to go to LA for crafting and forge. Can have its own section under upgrades, or simply give it the section Architecture, which makes sense since it would be building on the ship, and guild bank doesn’t need its own seperate section.

Dungeons and Dragons Online have Guild Airships.. you access it from a Airdock in a town, and there you can grab any guild buffs, that’s active, access guild bank and get back on the ground about where ever you want!

I just want a place to hang my sword or staff, kick off my boots, soak in a boiling spring drinking a fine ale I stole off the corpse of a Norn, while drying off with my authentic Charr skin towel. I would warm myself next to my sylvari corpse fed fireplace, all the while being pampered by my asuran servants………admiring my wall of achievements and bantering with my fellow guildies about where to adventure next.

so yes. I agree that Guild halls are a definite must for Guild wars (and glad to hear they’re confirmed)

IMO they’ll help exponentially with increasing guild activity in general.

I’d LIKE to have them accessible from the guild window, but if not w/e

Also down for GVG.

Guild vs. Guild but especially the Guild Hall is a very good idea, which I would also like to see get implemented.
