Guild Wars 2

Guilds are an important part of this game and yet, when representing one, it doesn’t really show you are part of a guild. (apart from the guild tag) Also the customization options are, well, kind of limited.

I am proposing the following:

Guild Armor system
A system where the guild leader(s) can change their guild armor by choosing and possibly unlock certain sets of armor (light,medium and heavy in matching style), which can be dyed using their unlocked dyes. All guild members can switch to guild armor mode (like you can switch to town clothing) in PvE and will forcefully(?) wear them in WvW. These armor sets are purely aesthetic and all stats will be derived from their own armor.

Imagine playing WvW with this system, instead of facing large groups of (seemingly) random mercs, you will now face intimidating armies of players all wearing the same colors.

With this system in place there is just one more thing that could make it even better, but I bet it has been proposed before. Let guild leaders upload their own guild emblem.

No. Always make it an option, leave it to the Guild to enforce.

Yes it should be a choice of the guild leader whether to enforce it or not in WvW. When we’re doing an event we might want to force it but other times maybe not

Could indeed be a guild setting to enforce it or not. Or it could be made in such a way that other players will see the guild armor but you yourself will see your own armor.
