Guild Wars 2

As a Guild Leader, there aren’t many ways to provide people with information. I can either:

-Expect people to read the Guild Message at the top of the Guild Window
-Send a letter in-game to each individual Guild Member one at a time
-Use a third party communication system

I ask for two things:

1) The Guild Message of the day to pop up in a person’s chatbox upon logging in. This existed in Guild Wars 1, and I feel is a great way for Guild Admin to let people know what’s going on.

2) Allow Guild Admin to send out a “Mass Letter” to Guild Members. This is particularly important in a game which allows players to join four guilds at any given time. This way, you can connect with people who aren’t actively Representing your guild.

Without a basic and easy to send/receive Guild Notices to Members, communication falls apart, and, ultimately, so may the Guild.

I agree as well. Thanks to the represent feature in the guild system being a guild leader has become obnoxious. There needs to be a way to send out a message to every member of the guild, repping or not repping.

Personally I’d rather see the whole joining multiple guilds and repping gone. I understand why my guys do it, they have a guild of RL friends or found a small group that likes to team up once a week but it undermines what other guilds try to accomplish when we have to send personal whispers to the players who don’t see the MOTD or Guild Chat.

Even if people are repping, there’s no easy way to pass information on to your members.

The guild message should really be displayed upon log-in based on the guild you’re repping, and if you stand down, when you rep a new guild that guild’s message should be displayed.

Why isnt there an alliance chat or the ability to create a channel? Why isnt there a feature that shows guild members activity level (i.e. last time logged in or the last time they represented). Since there is a guild cap, some guilds need to be more careful about the amount of ppl in the guild. I prefer a guild full of active members, but maybe that is just me.

It most certainly isn’t just you. I suspect there are many Guild Leaders facing these issues.
